Leaner Joel Embiid flashes defensive form in 76ers scrimmage
Original: Leaner, more athletic Joel Embiid flashes key defensive form in 76ers scrimmage
Joel Embiid, appearing leaner and more athletic, showed encouraging defensive form during a Philadelphia 76ers scrimmage, according to a New York Times report. The improved conditioning is being read as a sign the star center is preparing to return closer to his dominant two-way form, a major factor in the 76ers' prospects for the upcoming NBA season.
Why now: Embiid's fitness is pivotal to the 76ers' title hopes, so signs of a slimmer, sharper version of him draw wide attention
