Trump Says He Gets Along Well With Kim Jong-un Despite Nuclear Arsenal

Original: Trump Says He Gets Along Well With Kim Jong-un... 'Good to Get Along If You Have 112 Nuclear Missiles'

Donald Trump said he gets along well with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, quipping that it is 'good to get along if you have 112 nuclear missiles'. The remark reignited attention on Trump's unusual diplomatic rapport with Kim, forged during their summits, and drew discussion about how Trump frames North Korea's nuclear capability as a reason for friendly relations rather than confrontation.

Why now: Trump's blunt framing of North Korea's nuclear arsenal as a basis for good ties is striking and controversial.
