Steve Ballmer to accept NBA punishment with 'sincere regrets'
Original: LA Clippers owner Steve Ballmer to accept NBA's punishment, says he has 'sincere regrets'
Los Angeles Clippers owner Steve Ballmer says he will accept whatever discipline the NBA hands down over his case with the league, telling reporters he has 'sincere regrets.' The former Microsoft chief executive did not detail the punishment but framed his response as an admission rather than a fight, drawing wide coverage across US outlets.
Why now: The NBA is disciplining one of its most prominent owners, and Ballmer's public expression of regret is a notable concession.
