Aaron Sorkin Surprised Jesse Eisenberg Passed on Zuckerberg Role
Original: Aaron Sorkin Surprised Jesse Eisenberg Wouldn't Want to Play Mark Zuckerberg
Screenwriter Aaron Sorkin says he was surprised that Jesse Eisenberg chose not to reprise his role as Mark Zuckerberg in the follow-up to The Social Network. Eisenberg, who earned an Oscar nomination for the 2010 film, declined to play the Facebook founder again in Sorkin's new project, prompting discussion about the actor's reasons and Sorkin's reaction.
Why now: The surprise split between the writer and star of The Social Network ahead of the new Zuckerberg film has reignited interest in the franchise.
