UK Prosecutes Palestine Action Defendants Under Terrorism Measures

Critics say the British state is pursuing another trial against Palestine Action supporters, using counter-terrorism legislation to secure convictions. The group was proscribed in the UK in 2025 after activists targeted military aircraft, and hundreds have since been arrested. Supporters describe the prosecutions as politically motivated and anti-democratic, arguing that protest is being criminalised under terrorism laws.
Why now: Fresh trial of Palestine Action defendants under terrorism powers has renewed anger over the group's proscription in the UK.
