Spain Sends Naval Ship to Protect Gaza Aid Flotilla
Original: #BREAKING NEWS | Spain has decided to send a naval ship to protect the Global Sumud Flotilla sailing to Gaza.
Spain has reportedly decided to dispatch a naval vessel to protect the Global Sumud Flotilla, a civilian convoy of boats sailing toward Gaza with humanitarian aid. The flotilla, organised by pro-Palestinian activists, has previously faced interceptions at sea. The Spanish move, if confirmed, would mark a notable step in European maritime escort efforts amid the ongoing Gaza conflict and repeated attempts by aid activists to breach Israel's blockade.
Why now: News of a European state deploying a warship to shield a Gaza-bound aid flotilla is a major development in the Israel-Gaza conflict
