Original: Russian Defence Ministry claims over 550 Ukrainian drones attacked Russia overnight Russia's Defence Ministry has claime
Russia's Defence Ministry says its air defences intercepted and destroyed 559 Ukrainian drones during the night of 3-4 October, in what would be one of the largest drone attacks of the war. The claim comes from the Russian side and has not been independently verified, but the sheer scale of the reported attack is drawing attention to the growing tempo of long-range drone strikes between the two countries.
Why now: The reported number of drones is exceptionally high, marking a possible record in the intensifying drone war.
