Bonn summer school builds geodata infrastructure in five days

Original: Fünf Tage, eine eigene # GDI : In der Sommerschule in Bonn haben die Teilnehmenden ihre Geodateninfrastruktur mit # QGIS

At a summer school in Bonn, participants spent five days building their own geodata infrastructure (GDI) using tools including QGIS, PostGIS, MapServer, GeoServer and Mapbender. The training topics were drawn from participants' real work, covering subjects such as volcanoes worldwide and fibre-optic network expansion, and ended with each attendee operating a functioning spatial data setup.

Why now: The summer school's practical, five-day build-your-own-GDI format is of interest to GIS and open-source geospatial professionals.
