MLB site shows 1920 Tigers-Athletics score as new
Original: MLB Gameday: Tigers 1, Athletics 3 Final Score (07/22/1920)
MLB.com's Gameday listing is displaying a final score from July 22, 1920 — Athletics 3, Tigers 1 — alongside current game data. The century-old result, likely surfaced by the site's historical database, has drawn attention because it appears as if it were today's schedule. Fans have noted the quirk, pointing out the Philadelphia Athletics were playing at home in that era.
Why now: The website's database is incorrectly surfacing a 100-year-old game result as a current score, which baseball fans find amusing and puzzling.
