Dutch 'DoeiDag' event replaces Animal Day in Amersfoort

Original: Goedemorgen! Het is zondag 4 okt. Tijd voor D̶i̶e̶r̶e̶n̶d̶a̶g̶ # DoeiDag ! Vandaag is ook onze eerste fysieke # DoeiDag

On Sunday 4 October, a Dutch community marked the day as 'DoeiDag' instead of the traditional Dierendag (Animal Day), crossing out the old name. The first in-person Doeiday gathering took place in Amersfoort from 13:00 with a small group. The programme included a session by Elmine on how to get email back under control, alongside other practical talks.

Why now: The pun on World Animal Day, combined with the first physical meetup after a period of online-only events, is drawing attention in Dutch online circles.
