Bosnia holds one of the world's most complicated general elections
Original: Bosnia votes in one of world’s most complicated general elections
Bosnia is holding a general election widely regarded as one of the most complicated in the world. Voters cast ballots under the country's post-war constitutional structure, which divides power along ethnic lines between Bosniaks, Serbs and Croats across two entities and multiple levels of government. The vote is being closely watched for its implications for the country's fragile political balance.
Why now: Bosnians are voting in a general election whose unusual, ethnically divided system is drawing international attention.
