Elvis Costello calls Pink Floyd's music dreary
Original: ‘I can’t listen to Pink Floyd - I find their music dreary’: Elvis Costello’s honest playlist
Elvis Costello has shared a playlist of songs with candid commentary, telling The Guardian he cannot listen to Pink Floyd because he finds their music dreary. His blunt verdict on one of rock's most revered bands is drawing attention, as is his frank taste in music more generally, with fans debating whether the criticism is fair or provocative.
Why now: A well-known musician bluntly criticising a legendary band naturally sparks debate among music fans.
