Lula gains four more votes in New Zealand

Original: IT'S ALL HIM! President Lula picked up four more votes in New Zealand.

A circulating quip claims President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva picked up four additional votes in New Zealand, a joke echoing long-running Brazilian election-fraud conspiracy theories that alleged votes for Lula were counted abroad. The line has drawn wide engagement and amused or exasperated reactions from Brazilians and observers of the country's polarised politics.

Why now: It plays on persistent claims that Lula's election victories involved fraudulent votes counted overseas, a recurring theme in Brazilian political discourse.
