Petition launched to keep Android open against Google
Original: Please sign this petition to keep # Android open. # Google are making yet another dick move - trying to choke out small
A petition is circulating calling on Google to keep the Android platform open, with supporters accusing the company of squeezing out small independent developers. Critics say the changes favour large players and hurt developers who build software without heavy data collection. The campaign is being shared widely among tech users, who are urging others to add their signatures in support of smaller app makers.
Why now: People are reacting to perceived new Google restrictions that they believe threaten small Android developers.
