Couple arrested after notary offices burgled for Pokémon cards

Original: notaire

A couple from Saint-Junien, in the Limousin region, has been arrested in connection with the burglary of around forty notary offices, from which thousands of Pokémon trading cards were stolen, according to Le Populaire du Centre. The unusual target — collectible cards rather than cash or documents — has drawn attention to the case.

Why now: The bizarre motive of stealing thousands of Pokémon cards from notary offices makes the arrests a striking and shareable local crime story
