Readers say Hollywood long warned of climate crisis
Original: Letters to the Editor: Even Hollywood has been warning us about our current climate change horror show
Los Angeles Times readers write in to argue that Hollywood films have long cautioned audiences about climate change, and that the disasters once confined to fiction are now unfolding in reality. The letters reflect growing frustration as extreme weather and rising temperatures make the warnings of past disaster movies feel prophetic rather than speculative.
Why now: Current extreme weather and climate impacts are making fictional warnings feel newly relevant to readers.
