Kyle Gordon's Comedy Satires Land as Earworm Hits
Original: Don’t Tell Weird Al, but Kyle Gordon’s Satires Are Great Earworms, Too
Kyle Gordon, the comedian behind a string of music parodies, is drawing New York Times attention for writing satirical songs as catchy as the hits he skewers. Coverage compares his work to Weird Al Yankovic's, noting that his spoofs stick in listeners' heads on their own merits rather than relying purely on the joke.
Why now: A New York Times profile has just brought the parody songwriter to a wider mainstream audience.
