EU Envoy: No European Embassies Evacuating Kyiv
Original: No European Embassies Are Evacuating Kyiv, EU Ambassador Mathernová Says
EU Ambassador to Ukraine Katarína Mathernová says no European embassies are evacuating Kyiv, pushing back against reports suggesting diplomatic withdrawals from the Ukrainian capital. The statement is aimed at reassuring that EU diplomatic presence in Ukraine remains intact despite ongoing security concerns linked to the war with Russia.
Why now: Reports or rumours of possible embassy withdrawals from Kyiv amid renewed security fears are prompting the EU to publicly deny them.
