Original: Retired Navy SEAL says FlyDubai hijacking attempt shows terror threat ‘is not over’
A retired US Navy SEAL says an attempted hijacking aboard a FlyDubai flight demonstrates that the threat of terrorism 'is not over'. He argued the incident should serve as a warning that aviation security and counterterrorism efforts must remain a priority. Details about the hijacking attempt itself, including where it occurred and whether anyone was harmed, were not provided.
Why now: The FlyDubai hijacking attempt has raised fresh concerns that terrorism remains a live threat to commercial aviation.
