Robert P. Jones compares MAGA movement to Nazis
Original: Robert P Jones compares MAGA to Nazis
Robert P. Jones, an author and researcher on religion and politics, has drawn a comparison between the MAGA movement and the Nazis. The remark is circulating among US political commentators, with supporters condemning it as an inflammatory smear and critics of Trump's movement endorsing the historical analogy. The comparison feeds into a broader, ongoing debate about extremist language in American political discourse.
Why now: Comments from a prominent researcher invoking Nazi comparisons to a major US political movement draw strong reactions on both sides.
