Atheists mock the odds of any one god being real
Original: Theists: Congratulations! Out of the thousands of gods that have been worshipped, yours is the One True God! ___________
An atheist commentator is sarcastically congratulating religious believers for the remarkable luck of having picked the one true god out of the thousands worshipped throughout human history. The remark revives a long-standing atheist argument: with so many rival deities across cultures and eras, the odds that any single faith is correct are vanishingly small, and each believer dismisses all the others.
Why now: It is a snarky take on religion that invites argument between atheists and believers.
