Ukraine and Germany sign agreement on countering drones
Original: Ukraine, Germany sign agreement on cooperation in countering UAVs
Ukraine and Germany have signed an agreement on cooperation in countering unmanned aerial vehicles. The deal, announced by Ukraine's official news outlet Ukrinform, covers joint work on defending against drone threats, an area of growing importance as Russia uses drones extensively in its war against Ukraine. The agreement deepens bilateral defence cooperation between Kyiv and Berlin at a time when European partners continue to expand military support for Ukraine.
Why now: Germany is a leading European backer of Ukraine, so any new defence cooperation agreement attracts attention amid the ongoing war.
