Trump Explains Why He Is Nice to Xi and Kim Jong Un
Original: 'When People Have 112 Nuclear Missiles...': Trump's Bizarre Explanation On Why He Is Nice To Xi, Kim Jong U
Donald Trump has offered an unusual explanation for his friendly approach to China's Xi Jinping and North Korea's Kim Jong Un, pointing to the size of their nuclear arsenals, citing a figure of 112 nuclear missiles. The remark has drawn attention for its bluntness about why the US president stays on good terms with leaders of rival nuclear powers.
Why now: Trump's reference to nuclear missile counts to justify courting Xi and Kim is striking and unusual for a sitting president.
