Baghaei Says US Nuclear Proposals Repeat Previous Positions
Original: Baghaei: US Proposals are in Line with Previous Positions on Nuclear Issue
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said US proposals on the nuclear issue are in line with Washington's previous positions, suggesting no meaningful shift in the American stance. The comment comes amid ongoing diplomacy over Iran's nuclear programme, with Tehran and Washington exchanging proposals through intermediaries. Officials in Tehran have repeatedly signalled they will reject terms they see as one-sided, while urging continued talks.
Why now: Ongoing nuclear negotiations between Iran and the US keep statements like this in focus.
