Dodgers' Max Muncy says talking about a three-peat is off-limits
Original: マックス・マンシー
Los Angeles Dodgers infielder Max Muncy has urged teammates and fans to stop mentioning a possible third straight World Series title, telling Japanese sports outlet Tokyo Sports Web that saying it out loud puts unnecessary pressure on the team. The Dodgers won the championship in 2023 and 2024, making a 'three-peat' the big talking point heading into the new season.
Why now: The Dodgers are chasing a third consecutive World Series title, and Muncy's warning about the pressure of that expectation is drawing attention.
