Zelenskyy says Ukraine is building a Starlink-like satellite system

Original: Zelenskyy says Ukraine is developing satellite system similar to Starlink

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine is developing its own satellite communications system modelled on SpaceX's Starlink network. The project is intended to give Ukraine secure, independent connectivity for military and civilian use, reducing reliance on foreign providers during the war with Russia.

Why now: Ukraine's heavy wartime dependence on Starlink makes moves toward an independent satellite network strategically significant.
