Zelenskyy says Ukraine is developing a Starlink-like satellite system
Original: Zelenskyy says Ukraine is developing satellite system similar to Starlink
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced that Ukraine is developing its own satellite communications system modelled on SpaceX's Starlink. The project aims to give Ukraine an independent capability for military and civilian connectivity, reducing reliance on a foreign provider during the war with Russia. Details about timelines, partners and funding have not been disclosed.
Why now: Ukraine's wartime reliance on Starlink makes the push for a sovereign satellite network strategically significant.
