Jeffries says Democrats aim to flip Trump districts in 2026

Original: Jeffries says House Democrats aiming to repeat 2018 sweep by flipping Trump districts

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries says Democrats are targeting Republican-held districts won by Donald Trump, hoping to replicate their 2018 midterm sweep when they retook the House majority. The strategy focuses on suburban and swing districts where Democrats believe voter backlash against Republicans could hand them control of the chamber in the next midterm elections.

Why now: The House minority leader is laying out his party's midterm election strategy, drawing attention to which districts Democrats will target.
