Voters turn to ChatGPT for midterm voting advice

Original: People are asking ChatGPT to help them decide how to vote in the midterms

With the midterm elections approaching, a growing number of voters are asking ChatGPT and other AI chatbots to help them decide how to vote, using the tools to compare candidates and break down ballot measures. The trend raises fresh questions about how AI handles political information, whether its answers are accurate or biased, and what role chatbots could play in shaping turnout and vote choice in November.

Why now: The midterms are imminent and AI's influence on voting decisions is a novel and contested development.
