Gaza Documentary 'NAZA' Sparks IDF Counter-Film After Venice Win
Original: Gaza Documentary ‘NAZA’ Sparks IDF Counter Film to Rebut Venice Winner
The Gaza documentary 'NAZA', a winner at the Venice Film Festival, has prompted the Israeli military to produce its own counter-documentary disputing the film's account of the war in Gaza. The clash between the acclaimed film and the IDF's rebuttal has turned the festival prize into the latest front in the broader information war over narratives of the conflict.
Why now: A Venice-winning documentary criticizing Israel has drawn an official IDF rebuttal, reigniting debate over the Gaza war's media narrative.
