Israel Vows To Hunt Hamas Members Abroad Over October 7
Original: IDF's Hamas Hitlist: Israel's Katz Vows To Hunt Gaza Terrorists Abroad Who Were Involved In Oct 7
Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz says Israel will pursue Hamas members involved in the October 7 attack on Israel, targeting them abroad if necessary. The pledge amounts to a warning that those behind the Gaza-led assault will face Israeli operations beyond the region, in the style of long-running Mossad hunts for attackers. The statement is drawing wide attention given its implications for Israeli operations in foreign countries and already strained regional tensions.
Why now: Israel's defence minister has publicly pledged to assassinate October 7 attackers abroad, a threat with major diplomatic and regional implications.
