Robots Tapped for Dangerous Radiation Work in Space

Original: RE: https:// flipboard.com/@flipboarduk/tec hnology-uk-edition-jskurn6iz/-/a-Zp60fl_PR_mARkI-NmE2iw%3Aa%3A26228122-%2F0

A technology story circulating via Flipboard's UK edition has people discussing the use of robots for hazardous, irradiated tasks connected to space missions. Commenters argue this is precisely what robots are for, noting that no human jobs are lost and astronauts avoid dangerous radiation exposure, making it a rare case where automation benefits everyone.

Why now: A robotics story about robots taking on dangerous radiation work is sparking debate about automation replacing humans only where it helps.
