Commentators dub it the year of the orange disaster
Original: The # year of the orange # desaster 😱 # politics # future # meme # humanity # crises # war # terror # climate # Democrac
Social commentary tagged 'the year of the orange disaster' is circulating widely, lamenting a convergence of crises: war, terror, climate breakdown, inflation, high gas prices, threats to democracy and human rights. The 'orange' label is widely read as a jab at Donald Trump, framing his political return as emblematic of global instability heading into an uncertain future.
Why now: Frustration over overlapping global crises and Trump's political prominence is fuelling dark-humoured political commentary.
