Original: US, Israeli and European far-right figures to gather for conference in Israel
Far-right political figures from the United States, Israel and Europe are gathering for a conference in Israel, drawing scrutiny over the international links between nationalist movements. Sebastian Gorka, Trump's counter-terrorism 'czar', had been scheduled to speak, but the White House says he will no longer attend. The pullout has fuelled discussion about the event and the mainstreaming of far-right networks across Western democracies.
Why now: The White House's last-minute withdrawal of Sebastian Gorka from the event has drawn attention to the gathering of international far-right figures.
