US Donor-Advised Funds Channel Millions to India's Far-Right Groups
Original: US DAFs Donate Millions to Groups Linked to India’s Far-Right
An investigation by Bellingcat reports that US donor-advised funds have directed millions of dollars to organisations linked to India's far-right movement. Donor-advised funds let individuals and foundations give money to charities anonymously, making it difficult to trace the original source of the money. The findings raise questions about transparency in American charitable giving and its political impact abroad.
Why now: The new Bellingcat investigation has just drawn attention to opaque foreign funding of India's far-right.
