Donald Trump has announced a $6.6 billion defense shipyard project in Baltimore, with the facility tied to a firm owned by a top Republican donor and connected to defense tech company Anduril. The announcement is drawing attention over the combination of public defense spending and the donor's business interests.
Why now: The large public contract going to a firm tied to a major Trump donor raises questions about cronyism and defense spending priorities.
