Sharded encrypted storage tool launched over Yggdrasil network

Original: Sharded, encrypted storage between friends over Yggdrasil

A developer has released a tool that lets small groups of friends share encrypted, sharded storage across the Yggdrasil overlay network. Files are split into shards and distributed among trusted peers, so no single participant holds complete data. The project, published on GitHub, is drawing attention from privacy-focused developers interested in decentralized, peer-to-peer alternatives to cloud storage.

Why now: Interest in decentralized, privacy-respecting storage among small trusted groups is growing within the self-hosting and encryption communities.
