Original: ‘Most Useless...’: Jaishankar’s Explosive Attack On UN Comes With Fiery Swipe At US | Watch
India's External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar has launched a sharp attack on the United Nations, calling it the 'most useless' organisation, while also taking a pointed swipe at the United States. The comments, aired in a video interview, have circulated widely and drawn attention to growing frustration among Global South nations over the UN's handling of conflicts and reform of bodies like the Security Council, where India has long sought permanent membership.
Why now: Jaishankar's unusually harsh public criticism of the UN and the US has struck a nerve amid ongoing debates about the organisation's effectiveness and India's global standing
