Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar has launched a scathing attack on the United Nations, calling it the 'most useless' international body, while also taking a pointed swipe at the United States. His remarks have drawn wide attention, with commentators debating whether they reflect growing frustration among Global South nations over the UN's failure to reform and act decisively on conflicts.
Why now: India's top diplomat openly criticizing the UN and the US is a rare, provocative statement amid ongoing debates about UN reform and global governance.
