Developer Launches Mostly-Exact Clone of Hacker News
Original: Show HN: Pointless but mostly-exact clone of Hacker News
A developer has launched a near-exact clone of Hacker News, complete with its own domain, describing the project as pointless but faithful to the original. The clone recreates the site's familiar minimalist look and behaviour, and readers are amused by how closely it mirrors the real thing, debating why anyone would build such a faithful copy.
Why now: Recreations of popular sites attract curiosity and amusement from the technical community.
Rank over time, top of the chart is #1. 53 snapshots from 13 h ago to 21 min ago.
