INSEE launches personal inflation simulator for French consumers
Original: # Inflation | Calculez l'évolution des prix selon votre consommation à l’aide du nouveau simulateur d’inflation personna
France's national statistics institute INSEE has released a personalised inflation simulator that lets people calculate price changes based on their own consumption habits, rather than the average household basket. Users can enter their spending profile on the INSEE website to see an inflation estimate tailored to them. The tool comes as cost-of-living concerns remain high in France, and the announcement is drawing attention from economy watchers.
Why now: Persistent concern over the cost of living makes a tool showing one's own personal inflation rate newly relevant.
