High school students in France, joined by movements spreading to Belgium and Italy, are blocking hundreds of schools after one was set on fire, pressuring the government to expedite approval of 3,000 new teaching positions. Commenters say the concession is unlikely to end the blockades, with protesters linking education demands to broader grievances including housing.
