Ukrainian drones hit Ukhta oil refinery deep inside Russia

Original: Ukrainian attack drones reportedly penetrated more than 1,700 km of Russian airspace to strike Russia’s Ukhta oil refine

Ukrainian attack drones reportedly flew more than 1,700 km into Russian territory to strike the Ukhta oil refinery, setting the facility on fire. The strike, if confirmed, would mark one of the deepest Ukrainian drone attacks of the war, highlighting Kyiv's growing ability to hit Russian energy infrastructure far from the front lines.

Why now: The extraordinary range of the strike and its target in Russia's energy sector make it a major escalation in the drone war.
