In the Netherlands, Jelle Bakker built Marblopolis, a kinetic sculpture made from more than 300 metres (1,000 feet) of toy tracks combining LEGO, Knex and classic marble runs. Hundreds of glass spheres rolled through 30 distinct routes before the installation was dismantled. Clips of the sprawling marble machine are being shared as a delightful piece of engineering and toy craftsmanship.

Why now: People are sharing the impressive scale and ingenuity of the giant marble run now that footage of it has circulated.
