Science fiction fans debate fiction's creepiest settings
Original: SFFChat on creepy fictional settings
Readers of speculative fiction are trading examples of the most unsettling fictional settings, from derelict space stations to dystopian cities, in a science fiction discussion forum. Participants are comparing worlds that unsettle them most, citing atmosphere, isolation and slow-burn dread over overt horror. The exchange is drawing a wide range of book and film recommendations.
Why now: A scheduled community discussion prompted fans to share which fictional environments they find creepiest.
