Trump fumes over Nobel peace prize snub and criticizes Norway
Donald Trump has publicly vented his frustration at not winning the Nobel Peace Prize, directing criticism at Norway, whose Nobel Committee awards the prize. In a post quoted by the Guardian, he complained about being overlooked in a year he says included his role in the conflict with Iran, warning: 'We will not forget, Norway.' The remark has drawn attention for its unusually pointed threat toward a US ally.
Why now: The US president openly criticized a close ally after being snubbed by the Nobel Peace Prize committee, an unusual and diplomatically charged outburst.
