Trump fumes over Nobel peace prize snub and criticizes Norway
Donald Trump has reacted angrily after being overlooked for the Nobel Peace Prize, directing his frustration at Norway, whose Nobel Committee awards the honour. In a statement, Trump complained about not winning the prize in a year in which he ordered strikes against Iran, saying 'We will not forget, Norway'. Observers noted the irony of claiming a peace prize while launching military action.
Why now: Trump's public attack on Norway over the award is an unusual escalation of his long-running grievance about not receiving the Nobel Peace Prize.
