Satirical city-building game says the city would rather you didn't
Original: A city-building game in which the city would prefer you didn't
A satirical browser game flips the city-building genre: instead of designing the city of your dreams, players face a city that resists every attempt to build housing. The game doubles as a commentary on zoning rules, permits and the housing shortage, and it struck a chord online, quickly drawing hundreds of upvotes and debate about why building homes is so hard in real cities.
Why now: It satirises the real-world housing crisis and zoning bureaucracy, topics people are already heatedly debating.
