Ukraine drone strikes reportedly wipe out Yandex bot traffic overnight
Original: Yandex bot traffic nearly eliminated overnight after Ukraine drone strikes
Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian data centers, including facilities used by Yandex, have nearly eliminated the company's bot traffic overnight, according to a report by Tom's Hardware. The strikes follow Russia's attacks on Kyiv's data infrastructure, with Ukraine intensifying bombing of Yandex facilities. Observers note the sharp drop suggests much of the traffic served from those centers was automated rather than human.
Why now: Ukraine's drone campaign against Russian data centers is producing a measurable, immediate effect on internet traffic, highlighting the infrastructure dimension of the war.
