Otto English says Russia waged years-long war against Britain

Original: Otto English: "Russia has been at war with Britain for years and the EU referendum was an open goal which they exploited

Writer Otto English has argued that Russia has effectively been at war with Britain for years, and that the 2016 EU referendum was an 'open goal' Moscow exploited. He stresses this does not mean 'Putin made Brexit happen', but says Russian troll farms and media operations played a real part in the campaign, adding that Brexit supporters may hate to hear it but cannot deny the interference.

Why now: Ongoing debate about Russian interference in British politics and the Brexit vote keeps the claim provocative and widely shared.
